Research Interests:
At this time, my research interests are in the area of Chemical Education Research (CER). Current projects include revision of the general chemistry laboratories to incorporate 1) intrusive career mentoring, 2) societal context and real-life scenarios, 3) modern instrumentation, and 4) role models in the form of bibliographic sketches. Other research projects focus on the student attitudes toward mandatory online homework and student perceived competence and self-efficacy changes during chemistry coursework.
